Zioh Resort is located at the foot Kanye Mountains, at a distance of 145 kilometers from Sulaimaniya. Even though the nature in this region is rugged there are people living in this area. In the year 1974 there were nearly 150 residential houses, today this number has gone up to about 1000 houses all constructed in an innovative way. Zioh also has a school and medical center and it’s characterized by the cultivation of grapes, pomegranates and walnuts.
